“It was a long night. But at the end the result is the one that we all wanted and we are through to the next round. In terms of the game being physical the guys are really tired but that is what the competition is about and we must get on with it. We want to play in it. The best thing about the night was the result. Now we must focus on Saturday because it is the main game for us now. It is important to get that winning feeling back. There is nothing better than getting back to the dressing room after a win, it’s just great. That is going to help us. It is a good feeling and now we must transfer it to Saturday’s game against Cardiff.
“It’s another one. I was just happy to score because when I came on I had to help the team as much as I could. The gaffer told me to hold the ball in certain parts of the pitch. That was really important as they were pushing us a bit. As soon as we had that control we could look to build more counter attacks. That is how we killed the game off.
“He’s (Joselu) a lovely lad and I am happy for him to get that goal. The goal will give him some confidence. He’s still a big part of the team. Joselu is always ready to play a part and he will run for the team when he gets a chance. He is the first to give his best. I am a really happy for him."
