We're launching our own radio station and we want you involved!

As Newcastle Fans TV turns 11 years old this summer, we’re buzzing to announce one of the biggest steps in our journey so far: NFTV Radio.

For over a decade, we’ve covered a relegation, protests against Mike Ashley, the takeover, trips to Australia and the Far East, and of course - winning a major trophy. We're unique that we have two Youtube channels covering the men’s and women’s team, the under‑21s, plus our two non‑league sides, North Shields and Ryton. Now we’re taking things even further with our own online radio station, powered by a brand‑new streaming platform - the same level of tech used by major TV broadcasters such as Disney and the BBC, which will help us push our live content and have a balanced structure.

This move has been a long time coming for us. Lee said: "This is the biggest step we’ve ever taken. Eleven years in and we’re still growing. We attend every men and women's games - the only channel to do so, occasionally we go watch the under‑21s - and even covering North Shields and Ryton. The radio station is the next evolution of what we do.”

Switching to a professional‑grade streaming service means better quality, smoother broadcasts, and a more reliable experience for everyone watching. Lee said: "By changing to a professional streaming service that huge companies use, it pushes us even further on Twitch, Youtube and so on, it means better live shows, more experience for our lads, pushing them out of the comfort zones, providing better match-day coverage, and a better experience for people watching.”

And while we launch NFTV Radio, nothing else is stopping. Our usual videos will continue on both Newcastle Fans TV and NFTV Extra, with the same match previews, reactions, interviews and features you’re used to. We’re pushing both platforms harder than ever.

We’re also excited to expand our non‑league coverage even more. Joe summed it up perfectly when he said: “I’m buzzing. We will cover more non‑league, especially as I’ve got cracking ideas for a Northern League Show, pushing more focus not just on North Shields and Ryton, but both divisions.”

But here’s the part we’re most excited about: we want more fans to join the team. NFTV has always been built on fan voices, and now we want even more of them. Lee said: “We’re looking to bring more people into the team this summer. You don’t need fancy tech - you just need a laptop, a mic, and away you go. We'll guide you, it'll be easy. If you love Newcastle and want to get involved, reach out. You could be a subscriber, a content creator, hey even a former member of Newcastle Fans TV."

Whether you want to host a show, talk tactics, cover the women’s team, chat about the academy, or just bring your personality to the airwaves, there’s a place for you here. Matt is particularly excited by the idea of the website getting a revamp: "Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing the site get a refresh, we're planning to place a news section up on there, a radio page so you can listen to us and more articles, which is where my passion lies."

With the new setup, you can expect daily live shows covering a wide range of topics, match-day build‑up and reaction, fan phone‑ins, interviews with ex‑players and local figures, and more community‑driven content than ever before. And as for what’s next? Lee went on to say:“We haven’t finished yet. Keep an eye out - more announcements are coming from NFTV, very soon."
