End Of Season Goal Contribution Top 20.

That’s it then the Season has finished for all of our teams so it’s one final look at the Combined goals and assists charts across the club. This one is going to be a little bit different as I won’t just give you the stats I will say a little bit about each player and their season/future at the club as well.

As always a little bit of housekeeping, if the totals are level then position decided on goals and I know that all the teams have different number of games, level of opposition etc I just like to do this as we cover the whole club here on Newcastle Fans TV.

So here is a quick run through from 20th to 11th.

In 20th Place Dan Burn 7 contributions 2 goals 5 assists and he is in the England Squad this summer

In 19th Place Lewis Miley 7 contributions 3 goals 4 assists. It was announced following the Fulham game that he has signed a new long term deal until 2032 so hopefully he can stay injury free and be a big part of our future.

In 17th Place Sandro Tonali and Alphie Hutchinson both have 8 Contributions and both have 3 goals and 5 assists. The big Question here is will Sandro Tonali be a Newcastle Player come the start of next season.

In 16th Place Matty Taylor with 8 contributions 4 goals, 4 assists and a key part of the Under 18s side that finished 3rd in the Premier League Under 18s Northern section.

In 15th Joelinton also 8 contributions 6 goals and 2 assists and it has been a bit of a stop start season with injuries for bit Jo.

In 14th Place it is another Favourite from the Lasses in Beth Lumsden. She has chipped in with 8 contributions, 7 goals and 1 assist and hopefully can keep scoring the goals while providing a few more assists as well.

In 13th Place With 9 goal contributions it’s Jacob Murphy. A massive drop off from last season with 4 goals and 5 assists. Is he a player that could go in the Summer?

In 12th Place with 10 Contributions we have Sammy Pinnington another Key part of the Under 18s side. He has 4 goals and 6 assists to his name to end the season.

In 11th Place with a late surge up the charts we have Will Osula who barring the diabolical showing at Fulham for the whole team has ended the season very positively. Osula has 9 goals and 2 assists totalling to 11 contributions. It would be gamble to have him as our main striker next season but in the same token could be a gamble to sell him too. Delicate balancing act to come this transfer window with the Young Danish Striker.

So into the top 10 here we go.

In 10th Place on 12 Goal contributions, we have Matheos Ferreria. He got 8 goals and 4 assists across the academy this past season. Ferreria turns 18 in August so is going to be one of those players who could be sent out on loan. Lee will be out in Spain pre season so it will be interesting to see if he get’s any minutes and time around the first team.

In 9th Place on 13 goal appearances we have Jordan Nobbs. For the lasses she has been a key player this season with 6 goals and 6 assists winning countless awards including the fans player of the year and getting in the WSL2 team of the season. The conversation with the lasses community for future transfers is experience and big names over potential but it can’t be denied it has been a good season for Jordon Nobbs.

In 8th Place on 14 goal contributions we have Alfie Seldon. 9 Goals and 5 assists for Seldon which is a good return and isn’t 17 until October so I doubt there will be a loan for him but could be involved with the Under 21s a lot more next season.

In 7th Place also on 14 goal contributions we have Kacey Wooster. 10 goals and 4 assists for Wooster this season which he will be happy with and with Sean Neave’s next stage of development possibly away from the Under 21s he could step into that role. He has turned 18 recently though so a loan move isn’t out of the question either.

In 6th place we have Emily Murphy on 15 Goal contributions. She scored 7 goals and got 8 assists in all competitions for the lasses and is another crowd favourite. Despite her being one of our most important players, she is a player who I am worried could leave this summer.

In 5th place also on 15 contributions with 11 goals and 4 assists we have Nick Woltemade. For someone who gets a lot of criticism in certain areas I think that’s a good return for his 1st season in the premier league. He has had a raw deal with positional changes etc in my opinion but if he is here next season and I hope he is I think we could see the best of him.

In 4th Place we have our Captain Bruno Guimaraes with 16 goal contributions, amounting to 9 goals and 6 assists. Look there is no doubting his level of importance to our team. I can’t see him leaving this Summer but he will want to see progress with signings and the project because he is too talented to not be playing in the top competitions and if we have another season like this one then he may be thinking that in 12 months time.

In 3rd Place with 18 contributions we have Sean Neave. He has scored 15 and set up 3 this season but equally important he has made his first team and Premier League debut against Qarabag and Fulham respectfully. He will be 19 going into pre season so this is a crucial summer for Neave in a summer where there are a lot of question marks surrounding our strikers. Wissa, Osula and Woltemade arguably could all stay or all leave and anything in between and Neave’s pathway could easily get lost in amongst that chaos which I do not want to happen. Eddie Howe, or whoever needs to look at him early this pre season and make a decision will he be our 3rd striker or will he go out on Loan and get competitive football experience.

In 2nd Place narrowly missing out on top spot is Harvey Barnes with 21 goal contributions his 16 goals and 5 assists has been a positive and he is one of the few players who haven’t been linked with moves this summer. Do I think he is consistent enough to be guaranteed 1st team every week no I don’t but he has quality and is a clinical finisher on his day so hopefully will be an important player for us next season.

And taking the top spot who I really didn’t want him to if I’m honest it’s Anthony Gordon with 22 goal contributions. He scored 17 goals and assisted with 5 but that doesn’t really tell the full story of his season. It’s pretty likely he is leaving and he may have already gone by the time you watch this so straight away we have lost our top goalscorer across all competitions and that’s got to be thought about in the summer.

So there we go that’s the season for our contributors. How many of them will make the list next season or even be here to make the list next season.
