Full time! Sheffield United 0-2 Newcastle United

Come on! Could not win at Bramall Lane we were told. What a great team performance tonight! Martin Dubravka made some unreal saves early on to keep Newcastle in the game and he deserves the credit. He was my man of the match today! We were given a chance and, fabulously, they take it! It was an amazing cross by Javier Manquillo and Allan Saint-Maximin scored with a well hit header in the bottom corner. It was an absolute beauty! I want a headband! Newcastle upped the ante in the second half where we applied the pressure. There were gaps in the defence in the first half that were not there in the second half and it took a great tactical change to solve that at half time. The match was dominated by VAR drama. In my opinion, Shelvey has every right to play on as Carroll nodded on Paul Dummett's long ball. Since VAR's introduction, teams have been told to play to the whistle, something which Dean Henderson, Sheffield United's goalkeeper does not. It was Henderson's loss as we doubled the lead for 2-0. If Sheffield United fans have to blame someone, it is the assistant referee, it is not Shelvey's or Newcastle's problem. In the closing stages, our defending was excellent in order to see the game out to give as a brilliant result! Ciaran Clark and Federico Fernandez were just some of the players who put in a great performance! Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United boss, has had all the plaudits for the work he has done with the Blades. Simultaneously, Steve Bruce is now on the same amount of points and does not get half of the praise that Wilder receives. I will give Buce what he is due tonight. His tactics were spot on to give us a great three points as we hop up to 11th place in the Premier League.
