So we now know which twenty-four nations will be playing at Euro 2020 (well it should be Euro 2021 now) next summer, I will be looking at which Newcastle players could feature in the tournament. It's a good job the play-offs weren't scheduled for this time last year otherwise I'd have made this article only for the tournament to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fabian Schar
Fabian Schar's contract runs out at the end of the season so he could be gone in January but regardless, he should be in the Switzerland squad for the Euros. Bar anything dramatic that stops him going to the tournament, he'll be up against Wales, Italy and Turkey in the group stages, having scored against Albania at the last Euros and a stunning goal against Ireland in the qualifiers for this tournament.

Ryan Fraser
Ryan Fraser missed Scotland's play-off win in Serbia through injury but should be in their squad, let's hope he isn't on top form against England in their second game. It is a shame that Matt Ritchie has made himself unavailable for selection as he could've also been picked by former Magpies coach Steve Clarke, who is being assisted by none other than John Carver.

Emil Krafth
Emil Krafth isn't highly rated amongst our fans but should be heading for the Euros with Sweden. Although he did start in their 2-0 loss to England in the 2018 World Cup, I wouldn't expect him to be first choice right-back and would instead think that the experienced Mikael Lustig would be starting over him.

Martin Dubravka
Martin Dubravka might be injured right now but despite not featuring in Slovakia's play-off win over Jamal Lewis' Northern Ireland, it's highly likely he will at the Euros and could feature against Krafth as the two countries play each in the second round of group games. As well as that, he'll have a chance to test himself against the one and only Robert Lewandowski in the first round of games and Spain in their final group game.

As for players with an outside chance of going, there's almost no chance of Gareth Southgate picking any Newcastle players for the England squad so despite their form, it's unlikely that Callum Wilson, Isaac Hayden or Karl Darlow will be going. Allan Saint-Maximin would easily get into most teams and will probably feature for France at a tournament one day but I wouldn't expect him to be playing for them this summer given what they have a their disposal. Meanwhile, Paul Dummett has seemingly ended his Wales career so he can focus on us so I wouldn't expect him to be picked either.
