Players Ratings: Newcastle United 2-2 Bristol City

Karl Darlow: 5/10. Made a few important saves to keep United in it but was largely at fault for Cotterill's goal and failed to communicate efficiently.

DeAndre Yedlin: 7/10. A big threat all day down the right flank with Ritchie, provided a goal saving challenge in the 18th minute.

Jamaal Lascelles: 5/10. Tried one too many long balls over the top and struggled to handle Wilbraham (in the first half especially). Improved as the game went on.

Ciaran Clark: 7/10. Was composed in crucial parts of the game. Passed well and made several blocks which turned out to be pivotal.

Paul Dummett: 6/10. Cotterill's goal partially his fault. Was a third Centre back at times and defended brilliantly, but should try to advance past Atsu more often.

Jonjo Shelvey: 8/10. NUFC's MOTM, scored one goal and forced another. Wasn't man-marked but noticeably tracked by City's midfield. Still dominated the game in large parts, but not his best display. (Summarises the bad day at the office for NUFC).

Jack Colback: 6/10. Reiterated his lack of ability to pass the ball forwards but done the majority of the dirty work and allowed Shelvey time on the ball.

Matt Ritchie: 7/10. Gave Newcastle a constant threat with his final delivery. Cried out for more of the ball as was quiet in spells but created chance on a regular occurrence.

Ayoze Perez: 6/10. Showcased wonderful skills at times and drove at City's backline with a more aggressive yet technical approach. Still lacked a top quality final ball.

Christian Atsu: 7/10 Was a real threat and his pace terrified Vyner at times. Final ball was mediocre and should have pulled the trigger himself on more occasions.

Aleksandar Mitrovic: 5/10. Lacked motivation as well as movement and a good performance. Poor display from the big man after Monday's win.
