Bristol City hoping for an upset

Bristol City head to St. James' Park on Saturday hoping to stop Newcastle's unbeaten run, however the away side are on a poor run of form of late, having picked up just 1 win from their last 13 Championship games.

The Robins have been dealt with a massive blow in their fight against relegation, on loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has ruled out for several weeks with a thigh injury. Considering Abraham has netted 18 goals in the league this season, it's a huge boost for the Toon Army as City rely heavily for his goals.

You would expect Newcastle to pick up three easy points with Bristol City down in 21st in the Championship, however as we've saw this season, United have struggled against the likes of Wolves & Blackburn at home, I'm expecting Rafa Benitez to rotate with the three big away fixtures coming up, Brighton are up next on Tuesday.

Bristol City like to play through the middle and shoot on sight so the Magpies need to cope and I think we have enough with Jack Colback and Jonjo Shelvey playing deep. City are vulnerable from the flanks so for me if Rafa is to rotate, play Christian Atsu out on the left, let the lad run at their defence and terrorify them. Expect Newcastle to have a lot of the ball, dominate and plenty of chances so the injury to Dwight Gayle shouldn't be a miss, Aleksandar Mitrovic has enough quality to bury a chance against these lot.

I'm going for an easy home win but also a performance.
