Newcastle embark on Asia

Newcastle United are jetting off for a landmark pre-season tour across Singapore and South Korea, marking a pivotal moment in their summer preparations. The Magpies will face Arsenal at the Singapore National Stadium on July 27th, followed by two fixtures in South Korea: a clash with Team K League All-Stars on July 30th and a Premier League showdown against Tottenham on August 3rd.

Manager Eddie Howe will be away from Tyneside for two weeks, leading the squad through this high-profile tour. With recent departures including Sean Longstaff and Callum Wilson, Howe has openly acknowledged the need to strengthen the squad, particularly in defence, midfield and attack. While the club has already secured Anthony Elanga, Howe remains hopeful of bringing in another player during the tour to reinforce his options before the Premier League kicks off on August 16th against Aston Villa.

Amid swirling transfer speculation, star striker Alexander Isak has been confirmed by Howe to be travelling with the squad to Asia. Despite interest from Liverpool and some wild links to Saudi Arabia, Newcastle have made it clear that Isak is not for sale, valuing him at over £150 million. Howe described him as “irreplaceable” and emphasised the club’s desire to keep faith in their top talent, stating: “We love him as a player and a person and want him to stay”.

Beyond the pitch, this tour is about more than just fitness - it’s a statement of intent. With Champions League football on the horizon and a fanbase that stretches across continents, Newcastle United are embracing their global identity. And with Newcastle Fans TV capturing every chant, cheer, and moment of magic, fans back home won’t miss a beat on our Youtube channels.
