Newcastle Fans TV (NFTV) is entering a bold new chapter, with myself committing to the brand full-time. While redundancy can bring uncertainty, I see this moment as an opportunity for growth rather than a setback. With Newcastle Fans TV, NFTV Extra, and The Football Is Live at the forefront, this transformation marks an exciting step forward for the platform and its dedicated audience.

For those who assume NFTV is simply a YouTube channel, its vast ecosystem tells a different story. NFTV operates across three dynamic channels, a fully functional website, a strong social media presence, multiple podcasts—including partnerships with major sports networks—and much more. As the brand moves into a new era, it is becoming a well-rounded football media outlet rather than just a fan-driven space.
With the shift to full-time, Newcastle Fans TV is exploring new monetisation opportunities while maintaining its commitment to free content. Unlike some in the industry, NFTV believes in keeping audio and video content accessible to all Newcastle United supporters without the need to pay. However, partnerships with big brands and exciting new structures for videos will enhance the platform, ensuring continued growth while staying true to its core values.
One bittersweet part of NFTV’s evolution is bidding farewell to Sam Mulliner, who has built a career in media thanks to his time with the brand. Sam is departing not because of Newcastle Fans TV going full-time, this is for personal reasons as he can't commit to NFTV on a regular basis. Sam’s journey—from podcasting alongside Jonny to learning behind-the-scenes production—has given him a new lease on life. He joins Will Dickson and Matt Livingstone as former NFTV contributors who have gone on to work for major media companies. While Sam’s presence on NFTV videos will be less frequent, his impact remains immeasurable, and he will always be part of the Newcastle Fans TV family. His hard work, dedication, and passion have helped shape the platform into what it is today.

NFTV has already begun experimenting with fresh content ideas, leading up to a major turning point—the Newcastle United Asia tour. Once the trip kicks off, NFTV will go fully into its new phase as a full-time business. This transition marks the beginning of an exciting future, with ambitious plans set to elevate Newcastle Fans TV’s presence even further. As NFTV steps into this next chapter, fans can expect innovation, dynamic content, and a strengthened brand identity—without losing the core values that make it special.
Stay tuned, because NFTV is ready to take things to the next level.
Lee.
