"I felt confident and I’d seen highlights in recent weeks that people were chipping the goalie. I thought I just needed to keep my composure and hopefully he goes down and he went down and I put it over him. It was a great feeling to finally score for Newcastle United. I am buzzing with that but ultimately the result didn’t go our way so maybe that puts a little bit of a dampener on it. But on to the next one.

"We made it hard for them, the first half was all about containing them. Then it was about taking chances if we could created them. That wasn’t the case in the first half but in the second half we did create chances. We were close in the game at 2-1 and maybe we could have got the equaliser but we got stung. The positives we can take are creating chances against a top team. In the second half we were putting on pressure and we have to do that more.
"I am building things up. I knew once I played more minutes that I can produce for the team with goals and assists. I just need to keep contributing."
